Abruzzo Region
The Abruzzo Region of Italy is located on the east coast of the Italian peninsula, approximately 50 kilometers from Rome. The capital city of Abruzzo is called L'Aquila. It has a population of around 70,000.
Popular tourist attractions the Abruzzo region include the National Park (Parco Nationale d"Abruzzo) and some 21 ski resorts.
